Barry has been with the Capstan family of companies since 2015. In his role as General Manager he is involved with customers, processes, and day-to-day operations.

Barry has ten years of leadership experience in industrial maintenance at a large trans-loading facility that moved product from rail to Great Lakes bulk carriers. In addition, he has 15 years of leadership experience working in construction and with construction equipment.

Mike has been with Northern Engineering since 1988. He has experience working with most of the vessels that navigate the Great Lakes.

Mike leverages his practical experience and technical training to help customers solve complex engineering challenges daily.

Bruce Brown joined the Northern Engineering team in 2002.

Mr. Brown’s mechanical expertise and project management skills are invaluable for a variety of jobs performed in dry-dock, on the vessel, or in Northern’s well-equipped shop.

Justin Rosenlund joined Northern Engineering in 2008. Mr. Rosenlund earned a degree from Central Lakes College in the Machine Trades.

Justin’s expertise in machining, mechanical repair, project management and vibration analysis is appreciated by Northern’s customers.
